Nov. 30th, 2021 09:57 pmHello passengers! And welcome to our final event of 2021. We’re gonna cap off this accursed year with a chill visit to a nice, safe planet for some unwinding and easy fun. But first! A few quick notes:
1. Please make sure to submit your AC comment no later than Sunday, Dec. 5.. You can even do it right meow so you don’t forget!
2. We will once again have invite-free applications for the month of December! That’s right, apps during this month can be submitted without an invitation. Rope your friends into bringing morevolunteers as tribute willing participants in space-time shenanigans!
3. New partners will be assigned for the Dec. 7 event log, so if you wish to request a pairing, please be sure to do so below, no later than Dec. 6.
Now, on with the show …
The Dragon Heist Job™ resulted in rescue of several dragons and other creatures (or will, once the thread is finished), and after the daring rescue of the missing shipmates from the grip of the Strangers, Navi will head for a planet called Trelnar. Trelnar is an out-of-the-way destination, a staunchly neutral sanctuary for any and all refugees seeking asylum. Vivamion City, the capital, is the singular point of entry to the planet and the hub for all travel to other parts of the planet, where displaced travelers are welcomed to a safe place to call their new home.
Beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 7, Navi will dock at Vivamion City to drop off the rescued passengers picked up from Thelnillion. As it so happens, Navi’s arrival coincides with the city’s annual winter festival, and all are welcome to attend the festivities, even visitors such as Navi’s crew. Enjoy sleigh rides, ice skating, festive food and drink, daily parades celebrating the mix of cultures, nightly theatrical productions retelling the legends of the people who have made Trelnar their home, singing and dancing, carnival-type games, a handicrafts market - you get the picture.
This festival lasts for weeks, so you’ll have plenty of time to chillax and enjoy the available activities. Perhaps you’ll even find yourself underneath the ugetta vine, a local plant that blooms only in winter and is said to induce feelings of fondness - platonic and romantic alike - for those who happen to find themselves underneath a cluster of its flowers. There is even an old Trelnarian tradition to trade a warm kiss with whoever you may find underneath the ugetta vine’s flowers, if you feel so moved.
The festival will wind down on Tuesday, Dec. 28, and all passengers will be called back to Navi for departure to our next destination in the new year.
