Hello, passengers and potential passengers!! Welcome to the first-ever

Please note: Threads from the test drive meme DO NOT count toward AC and ARE NOT considered game canon, but you are welcome to use them for your app samples.
SCENARIO ONE: LIGHT UP THE NIGHT

The ship has stopped on Arion, near the settlement of Taunican, at the height of harvest season, and since the planet is largely agricultural, that means there is a big harvest festival a-happening.
What's neat about this festival is that it's not just a celebration of the harvest - it's a celebration of the community, and of the planet as a whole. The dominant local religion (for lack of a better term) isn't exactly experienced in term of worship but of honoring the planet itself - the seasons, the landscapes, the crops. Natives talk of Arion as if it is a living, breathing entity, because for them? Arion is.
Every evening while the ship is docked, there is a bonfire in the fields outside the town square, starting at dusk. There's a giant potluck feast, with everyone in attendance encouraged to bring dishes to share, but no one will be turned away if they arrive empty-handed. Fiddles and flutes and drums provide the soundtrack for the folk songs about Arion the locals sing around the fire; dancing and games and laughter are everywhere. This is a peaceful, joyous celebration, and you're invited!
SCENARIO TWO: WE NEED TO GO DEEPER

You're asleep, but maybe you don't know that - in the middle of a dream, it's not always easy to tell the difference between reality and the scenes your subconscious creates. You find yourself somewhere that may or may not be familiar, doing something that may be mundane or fantastical, but you're not alone. This is a dream you're sharing with your shipmates. What secrets and truths will you learn about each other?
SCENARIO THREE: STOP HITTING YOURSELF

Ope, looks like Navi’s wandered a little too close to an interdimensional rift in space-time, and now things are getting a little weird. If you happen to have superpowers, you may find that you don’t have quite as good of a hold on them as you do normally, or maybe now there are unintended side effects that occur when your powers are used. Maybe your character usually possesses enhanced strength or speed, and now they suddenly find themselves too swol to handle ordinary objects without crushing them, or they may have uncontrollable zooms and be physically unable to slow their roll.
No superpowers? No problem! Non-powered characters may find themselves deprived of one or more of their natural senses, i.e., sight, hearing, smell, taste, etc. Have fun being suddenly and temporarily blind! Walk into walls, eat trash, be free.

Number Five | The Umbrella Academy
1. LIGHT UP THE NIGHT;
2. WE NEED TO GO DEEPER;
1 obviously
A very, very menacing child. Wearing--what is he wearing? Look at his knobby little knees, sticking out--
Okay, so laughter is probably the wrong answer, and he probably deserves that second fist in his shirt, bunching the embroidered insignia over his left chest, but he can't quite restrain the mirthful snort that escapes as the corners of his lips curl upward. Oh, this is cute.]
Easy there, son, no need to get violent about it. Pull up some dirt, there's an empty cup around here somewhere, if you aren't fussy about whether or not it's been used.
no subject
Son makes him scowl though. ]
I've been alive since before you were a thought, you zygote.
[ He does release Trevor, though. The tankard of ale isn't completely lost. Not until Five takes it from his hold and kicks the drink back, downing it at a surprisingly fast pace, especially for someone his size. He doesn't want to talk to Trevor. He just wants to get plastered. That's all he's wanted for the longest time. Ever since he became separated from his family.
He returns the tankard to Trevor's hand as fast as he took it, though, now it's empty. Some of it was lost in their jostling, but that was still a good amount of alcohol he took in.
Five smears the inside of his wrist over his lips wordlessly. ]
no subject
Hey--!
[It's uncertain whether the exclamation is for the insult or the theft of his drink, but he will admit to a certain amount of impressed for how bold the move was and how he chugged the ale like it was nothing. Not that he's going to show that impression, instead a moody scowl descending over his face as he looks into the empty mug.]
Not what I bloody meant, you know, and what in the nine hells is a zygote?
[FORTUNATELY, there's a cask right over here, so all he has to do is lean on over, refilling the tankard before wordlessly shoving it at the teen and getting one for himself. Whatever, it's fine, probably cleaner than the water on this planet.]
no subject
And undeveloped.
So take that how you want.
[ He doesn't want to linger since he can tell this guy is hardly worth his time, so he starts to leave, only to be presented with his own pint. Nice. You've earned his interest. Or.. at least kept him nearby. ]
... Alright.
Undeveloped, but generous.
no subject
[Never mind the fact that he's a little fuzzy on his own age. Birthdays aren't the sort of thing that matters all that much when your entire family is dead and everyone spits on their memories, and you spend the rest of your formative years fighting just to survive. But whatever. He's just going to continue to down his pint before the teenager decides to steal this one, too.]
goin’ deeper
it’s probably too much to hope for that she might find working wifi at the library, but a girl’s gotta check anyway, right? only jack ends up finding five and his stack of books instead, chuckling lightly at the sight of him as she slowly approaches.]
Did you ever watch that old TV show, The Twilight Zone? This place reminds me of an episode.
no subject
He's aware this is a dream of some sort, but people didn't show up even in his apocalypse dreams, so there is a little surprise there but Five reacts by simply closing his book and looking up. ]
Maybe Sigmund Freud was onto something when he documented dream telepathy, but I have a funny feeling this is a little different than that since you're physically here. Some kind of oopsie in your own astral projection and possibly mine too. Eh. Stuff like that happens.
[ He has no need to active defensive around her since he knows what this is a dream, but he's a little puzzled on how she got here. ]
How'd you end up here to your knowledge?
no subject
[but the (not)kid is right - this isn’t a normal dream. it’s too solid, too bright.]
I’ve never astrally projected without intent before. I actually have no idea how I ended up here ... or where here is ... or who you are. [jack studies five quizzically for a moment, searching for anything about him to return data in her memory banks. no results.] Who are you?
no subject
Maybe stick around and find out. I've only seen one other person in this environment you're in, even if it isn't real.
It once was very real to me.
no subject
Do I look like I’m going anywhere? [she gives five a hint of a grin and sits down on the floor near him and the stack of books.] So this is your dream? That makes sense, it didn’t look like one of mine. Didn’t feel right, either. What happened when you were here before?
no subject
Well. I walked a lot... alone. Mostly alone, at least. You know, it's the end of everything, so you get creative about what to do.
[ Why does he sound so nonchalant about this? Usually he's a lot more.. distressed. Maybe cause it's a dream and apart of him thinks she won't remember this later.. or maybe he's curious of her reaction. ]
sorry for the delay, my job blew up -__-
and if five’s wondering what jack’s reaction will be to his story, he’ll find nothing but sympathy. her expressions are typically subdued and small, but there are tells in the way her mouth purses tightly and the way she quietly hums in acknowledgement.]
It’s not easy to be alone. I mean, sometimes it is, but not always. And there’s a difference between the type of alone you can be in a crowd of people and the type of alone you’re stuck with in isolation.
[she’s well-acquainted with both types.]
But you survived, right? The end of everything.
2!
She wanders, picking her way through the rubble with a vague curiosity, but she doesn't seem too disturbed. This can't be real, not to her, so mostly she just feels...bored.
At least until she discovers someone else. She rests her hands on her hips, tilting her head as she peers at the piles of books and then at the boy reading it.]
At least someone's having fun out here. [Her tone is dry, deadpan, and she huffs a little, just glad to be out from under the heat of the sun.]
no subject
[ Whatever he's reading, it looks way too smart and boring. Five can't help but look around, a little perplexed. ]
How did you..
[ Yeah. Empty for miles. He turns back to her. ]
You're an illusion, right?
no subject
Does it feel like an illusion? I just woke up here. [For a given value of 'woken up,' she supposes. She's not sure if he's not the illusion, or if the world itself in an illusion or what.
She's spent enough time wandering around in peoples' memories before to figure this might be something similar, she just doesn't know how or why. After all, she hasn't touched this guy to get access to those memories before...]
no subject
Don't touch me. What are you trying to prove by that?
[ Other than.. they're not illusions, but okay, Five. He's just prickly. ]
That's it? Really?
[ She most have projected herself into one of his dreams which is.. extremely invasive and rude tbh. However, it doesn't sound intentional, so ... ?? ]
no subject
She shrugs and nods though at the question, brow furrowing as she looks around uneasily.] Never had that happen before. Not by accident like that.
So this is what you dream about? Reading books in a blow up city? [How boring!]
1
You will let go of me and take at least three steps back. [A beat. Her tone drips with sarcasm as she adds back:] Capisci.
no subject
[ In an instant, Five disappears in thin air, reappearing right at three steps back. His arms fold over his chest, not seeming irritated by her sharp tone. It's nice to talk to someone who also doesn't have time for anyone's shit, apparently. ]
This better to your liking, lady? Can we have a conversation from here, then?
[ He'll admit, his initial impression wasn't the greatest. But he's a desperate guy with simple needs right now that seem to be hard to come by. ]
no subject
Instead, she straightens her blazer and shoots him an annoyed look.]
The name is Georgia, not lady. But yes. That's acceptable.
1
And if I should choose not to?
[It's not a direct refusal to. Not yet at any rate. But he's not exactly used to taking orders either - and has been menaced by any of a number of foes over the course of his life time besides. One more person doing so is hardly going to make a significant difference.]
no subject
If you choose not to because you simply don't have an answer for me, that's fine.
If you choose not to and you do have the answer for me, I'll make you wish you would have told me sooner.
[ It's a threat? Absolutely. ]
no subject
What, are you unable to find either by yourself?
[It's not an answer. But it's not a refusal to answer either, for all that there is a very distinctly mocking sort of tone in his voice all the same.]
one
I'm sure I can help you find something... but you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, son.
