Hello, passengers! You’ve made it through another month, so give yourself a gold star, cookie, or other small reward of your choice. Before we get to April’s shenanigans, a few smol announcements/reminders:
1. Until further notice, we’re relaxing AC to what it has been for the past few months, just a comment to say you’re still here. Life is still kicking people in the teeth, and we want this to be a fun chill place without adding any stress. So, comment to say you’re still in the game, and if you provide a thread of activity, you’ll be able to claim an extra specialty item from a future planet visit. You can stack these to cash them in whenever, just comment to the appropriate AC thread to claim. If/when we decide to revert to the original AC requirement, we’ll notify everyone at least a month in advance.
2. That said, PLEASE remember to check in to AC for March no later than Monday, April 5! Once again, please please please do not make me sweep anyone, we’ve got a good crew here and I’d rather keep everyone.
3. April would normally be a partner switch month, but since most of the last two-month period was taken up by an event where partners were separated, we’re going to push that off until May, to allow more bonding time. However, new and unpartnered folks will be partnered this month!
It’s been a while since our travels took us anywhere to dock and resupply, so it’s time for a change of scenery. This time, Navi’s expert navigation takes us to Hama Vorcia, an intergalactic city-sized megastation that produces a large percentage of entertainment media, particularly game, challenge, and reality shows of every genre.
This makes Hama Vorcia a popular travel stop, because anyone can join the cast of any show currently in production for a guest spot. In fact, participation is encouraged! Participants are rewarded with fantastic prizes and 15 minutes (or more) of fame. High-rated performances earn sponsors, and those participants get to stay longer, until they’re voted off the set or choose to retire.
Even if you’re too shy to get in front of the camera, there are entertainment venues galore to explore: clubs, bars, casinos, gourmet restaurants, carnival rides, and so on. If it’s fun, it’s here. Shopping is also plentiful, with high-end luxury goods and cutting edge technology as far as the eye can see, so any stuff you’ve been looking for? It’s here. Shop ‘til you drop, either on-screen or on your own. Each character can claim two specialty items for free (claim in comments below), and anyone with extras earned from activity can cash those in as well. Communal food stores and supplies will be taken care of by Navidrones, so don’t worry about spending your credits on those items. Treat yo selves!
